New to BC CHEC this year!

The needs of homeschoolers are many and varied.  Sometimes, we benefit most from sitting in a keynote session and getting a “shot in the arm” along with the rest of the crowd.  Sometimes however, it would be nice to connect in a more informal environment of sharing and mutual encouragement, with people who have common interests or issues.  For this, we introduce:

Networking Sessions Friday, April 30th, 2010 6:30 p.m. Various Classrooms (Specific locations to be announced) Confirmed topics: Homeschooling One Child Multi-Level Homeschooling Homeschooling Through Highschool Options **If you would like to make a suggestion for a Networking Session Topic, please email Sandra at organize@bcconvention.ca.  Topics that receive multiple requests will be added to the list.

Each session will be introduced by a facilitator who is familiar with the topic, but not necessarily an “expert.”  The idea is for homeschoolers to exchange ideas, questions, answers and more.  You will not register for these sessions.  Come prepared to learn and share and make some new friends!!

Note: These sessions will be held at the same time as “Story Night with Jim Weiss,” so you can drop Dad and children off for some wholesome entertainment, while you go enjoy some “homeschool mom” time.  (Note: Dads are welcome in networking sessions too; however, children 12 and under attending the “Story Night with Jim Weiss” must be accompanied by at least one adult.)
